ZAMRA registers over 360 drug stores

The Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) says about three hundred and sixty drug stores and pharmaceuticals have been registered with the Authority country wide.

And ZAMRA Spokesperson Ludovic Mwape has described as average compliance levels by pharmaceuticals and drug store owners to register with the Authority.

In an interview with Money FM News Mr. Mwape hopes the compliance levels will increase as the Authority intensifies sensitization programs in various parts of the country.

He says the Authority is now following up on pharmacy and drug stores owners that are not complying with the law.

He adds that in an effort to have more people engaged in the business to register with the Authority, the Authority has rolled out sensitization programs to Muchinga and Northern province.

He notices that it is vital for pharmacy and drug store owners to register their business in an effort to secure the lives of end used of the product.
