Zamtel to partner with local business owners

State owned Telecommunications Company says it will be entering into partnerships with local businessmen and women across the country that are willing to set up Centers to provide mobile services to the public.
Speaking at the official opening of the Makeni Mall Service Centre, Zamtel Chief Executive Officer Sydney Mupeta says the development will not only take products and services closer to the people, but will also create Job opportunities in the communities where the centers will be located.
“Over the years, we have realized that one of the challenges the public face is access to our products and services,” he said.
Mr Mupeta added that the company has in the recent past focused its attention on coming up with innovative products and services relevant to the needs of the public.
“One of these products is velocity, a home super-fast-unlimited internet which has revolutionized the user experience for home internet in the country,” he said.
“In order to ensure speedy resolution of customer complaints, we have put in place a service charter in all service centers that spell out the escalation process up to the highest office in our Organisation.”
Mr Mupeta added that Zamtel is now a dominant player in the digital space having developed and rolled out a number of digital solutions on the market.
