Zanaco named best bank in Zambia.

Zambia National Commercial Bank (Zanaco) has been named the best bank in Zambia by Global Finance Zambia.


In a statement issued to Money FM News, Bank Chief Executive Officer Henk Mulder said Global Finance selects the best financial institutions around the world and its awards have become a trusted and recognized standard of excellence.


Mr. Mulder stated that the achievement of the award is a testament in the Zanaco’s aggressive transformation journey adding that the Bank will remain focused on being the number one bank in Zambia.

“We are proud of this achievement and we remain focused on being the number one bank in Zambia. Innovation and digitalization has been and will continue to be a strong focus for us and the results are there to speak for themselves,” Mr. Mulder said.

Mr. Mulder further said the banking landscape in Zambia continues to evolve and Zanaco is focused on ensuring that it leads and takes the future of banking in Zambia to where it needs to be.
He said the Global Finance award recognizes the bank’s achievements in its asset growth, profitability, geographic reach, strategic partnerships and innovation of products.

“Zanaco in 2019 posted strong and encouraging results achieving the position of the second largest revenue earning in the market,” he added.
