ZRA advised to educate Zambians over tax on rental incomes

Business and Financial Analyst Blessings Kafwanka has advised the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) to come up with a system that will not allow landlords and tenants connive in evading to pay withholding tax on rental incomes.

But Mr. Kafwanka feels that the authority has not done enough sensitization on the need for the people to pay this particular tax as it is backed by law.

He says the payment of this particular tax will be made online as opposed to the manual mode saying this would be challenging to some clients who are not familiar with the online system.

Mr. Kafwanka says if the authority does not address these issues, this will hamper the levels of compliance among tax payers.
