CUTS reviewing electricity cost of service study.

The Consumer Unit Trust (CUTS) says it is closely following the issue of electricity tariff hike regarding its impact on majority Zambians.


CUTS Coordinator Chennai Mukumba told Money FM News in an interview that “the organization is also looking at alternative energy sources and ways of improving the energy subsector such as petroleum.”


Ms. Mukumba further said the organization also is reviewing in the electricity cost of service study which was recently launched by Energy Minster Mathew Nkhuwa to satisfy future electricity demand and develop the energy sector in the country.
“We are doing some works in the energy sector and the issue of tariffs is something we have been following quiet closely,” Ms. Mukumba said.
