DFID to Continue Supporting Zambia

The UK Embassy in Zambia says the Department for International Development (DFID) will communicate any new developments in the support provided to Zambia to relevant Ministries.
Embassy head of Political, Press and Public affairs Tresford Mumba says the DFID will continue to Provide Support to various sectors to help address poverty in Zambia.
Mr. Mumba said this in response to a Press Query from Money FM News via Email.
The UK Ambassador to Zambia Fergus Cochrane-Dyet is reported to have said that he is concerned by the risks that come with the traditional ways of giving funding directly to the government.
This was when he announced that the UK government would resume Funding to Zambia’s health sector.
The Reports also say that The Ambassador said that this could be a concern for other stakeholders as well.
