Engineering Professionals urged to register with EIZ.

The Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) has urged engineering professionals, Engineers, Craftsmen and Engineering Organizations to ensure that they are registered with the institute in order to be recognized.


EIZ President Eugene Haazele told Money FM News in an interview that it is illegal for anyone to practice as an Engineer without a license from the Institute.
Engineer Haazele said if found practicing without proper documents, one risks being prosecuted as the act is a criminal offence.
“It is illegal to hold out as an Engineer without a license, if one is found they will be punished because it is a criminal offence,” Engineer Haazele said.


He further said the compliance inspections which are currently underway are going on smoothing adding that Luapula, Southern and some parts of Copperbelt Province have so far been covered.
