Evelyn Hone College Management refutes ‘tuition fee increment’

The Management at Lusaka’s Evelyn Hone College has denied increasing tuition fees for students at the higher learning institution.
Evelyn Hone College Principle Daniel Fwambo says the institution cannot increase the fees without approval by the board and the knowledge of the Ministry in charge.
This follows reports that a riot was almost breaking out following news of an alleged increase in the tuition fees.
Mr. Fwambo says the university engaged the students’ union and clarified that they have not increased the fees and assured them that they will not be increased.
He says students pay according to payment schedules they are given upon entry into the institution and are not being adjusted.
Mr. Fwambo was speaking when Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo visited the institution to clarify the reports on the planned unrest by the students.
