More honey factories needed in North Western Province

The North Western Chamber of Commerce and Industry says there is need to set up more honey factories in the province as it has potential in this area.
Chamber President Mukumbi Kafuta has told Money FM News via telephone that this can help the country in meeting the local demand for honey and export the surplus.
Mr. Kafuta says there is also another found market in China saying the country should take advantage of the honey in the province and increase production of organic honey.
He said the North West Expo is coming at a good time that is looking at exploring the full potential of the province saying honey industry should also be explored.
Mr. Kafuta stated that at the moment, the chamber is helping companies under them to profile their business plans well ahead of the expo so that they too can help in boosting Zambia’s economy.
