Gov’t injects ZMK 3.7 million for Samfya tourism

The Ministry of Tourism and Arts a total of three point seven million Kwacha million will be invested in the Samfya Beach Development Project in Northern Province.

Permanent Secretary Reverend Howard Sikwela explains that the Project is a springboard for the growth and development of tourism resources in the northern circuit.

Reverend Sikwela says his ministry will immediately inject an initial seven hundred and sixty five thousand kwacha for the council start development activities at Lake Bangweulu
The Permanent Secretary says the money has been mobilized through the Tourism Development Fund.
And Samfya District Commissioner (DC) Nason Bwalya the project once complete would change the economic profile of the district through tourism.
