Govt urged to help young farmers

The Accountability Advocates Zambia has called on the government to help the young farmers in finding the market for their produce.
Advocates Executive Director Chilufya Luchembe says most of young people want to venture in agriculture but that lack of market for their produce demotivates them.
Mr. Luchembe has told Money FM News that there is need for government to motivate the young farmers by way of finding them market for their produce.
He is of the view that this will also motivate and encourage other youths to venture into agriculture because it is a viable business.
Meanwhile, the Accountability Advocates Zambia Executive Director has observed the need to come up with policies aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs.
Mr. Luchembe has told Money FM News that a lot of young people have the potential to grow the economy but that there are some barriers that prevent them from taking part in economic activities such as resources and equipment.
He says youths find it difficult to have access to resources and equipment and hence the need to help them.
