Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Association Executive Director Ebony Loloji said with most farmers in Luapula province being dependent on the crop, it is imperative that Government responds to the challenge.
Mr. loloji stated that farmers may experience food insecurities if government does not respond as soon as possible.
“Any disease that affects Livestock and crops is of great concern to the Association as it affects production of the country,” he said.
Mr. Loloji has further advised Government to invest more resources in research and ensure that it comes up with new ideas to mitigate diseases that affect the Agriculture sector.
