Chita Lodges and Resorts Chief Executive Officer James Chungu has observed the need for investors to take advantage investment potential in rural areas to invest in rural areas.
The Chita Lodges and Resorts CEO said this in Lusaka during the announcement of a partnership with Mahogany Air following the launch of a new route from Lusaka via Ndola to Mansa.
Mr. Chungu says people should not always look up to government to take development to rural areas but that they too can contribute to the development of rural areas.
He says though the returns may not be immediate, the investment is worthy it.
“When I was opening the Lodge in Samfya district, I knew that the returns will not be immediate but I had a vision. Let me encourage all of you not to hesitate to invest in rural areas,” he said.
Mr. Chungu says he is also glad that the partnership with Mahogany Air is a blessing to him and will help in the promotion of tourism sector in Luapula Province.
And Mahogany Air Marketing Manager Prudence Kunda says the local airline is here to stay in Zambia after it relaunched last year.
She also reiterates that the partnership will help Zambia in the promotion of tourism not only in Samfya but Luapula Province.
