Mapping for Mineral Exploration requires cooperating partners

The Association of Zambian Mineral Exploration Companies (AZMEC) says mapping for Mineral Exploration is an expensive exercise which requires help from cooperating partners.
Association President Geoffrey Mulenga says in an interview with money FM news that the government or an individual cannot do it alone.
The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development says it is looking for a partner to help map the remaining available land for mineral Exploration in Zambia.
Mines and Minerals Development Minister Richard Musukwa says over 60 percent of the country has been mapped and that there is still a huge chunk of land that hosts various resources which can be exploited.
Mr. Musukwa says over 60 percent of the country has already been mapped in corporation with partners from Japan, China and other stakeholders.
The minister was speaking when he made a ministerial presentation at the ongoing Investing in African Mining Indaba in Cape Town, South Africa.
