NAMSEC urges government to expedite stimulus package

National Association for Medium and Small Scale Contractors (NAMSEC) has urged government to expedite the provision of a relief package to the construction industry.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Association Deputy Secretary Isaac Sangulukani said government through the Ministry of Finance must look into the matter as soon as possible, so as to help mitigate the socio-economic impact of Covid-19 among contractors.
Mr. Sangulukani stated that the Association will be very grateful if its members are paid all the arrears government owes them.
“We appeal about the stimulus package, we are still waiting honorable Minister, maybe if that issue can be expedited and then our members get their payment, their arrears are paid, we will be very grateful,” Mr. Sangulukani said.
And Mr. Sangulukani commended the National Road Fund Agency (NRFA), Road Development Agency (RDA) and National Council for Construction (NCC), for their good workmanship.
“National Road Fund Agency, RDA, Local Government, NCC are doing everything possible and we commend their workmanship and we appreciate what they are doing,” he added.
