New Kasenengwa MP ready to transform constituency

Newly elected Kasenengwa Member of Parliament Sensio Banda says he his target is to transform Kasenengwa Constituency despite having a short tenure of office.

The ruling Patriotic Front has won the Kasenengwa Parliamentary by election with its candidate Sensio Banda polling 10, 346 votes while his closest rival Abel Ngwenya of the UPPZ got 1, 673 and John Zulu of the People’s Alliance for Change (PAC) got 1, 597.

The Kasenengwa seat fell vacant following the death of incumbent Victoria Kalima.
Mr. Banda says he will ensure that the social economic agenda is accelerated within the remaining few years before the 2021 general elections.

He says he will also ensure that he works with other stakeholders such as the local authority and other government departments to ensure that development is taken to the people.

“During the campaigns, I realized that the expectations of the people of Kasenengwa are high and so I have a lot of work in order to deliver what I promised my people,” he in an interview with journalists.

Mr. Banda is confident that he will deliver and be able to transform the area socially and economically.
