President Lungu to commission cooking oil plant in Mambwe

President Edgar Lungu is today expected to commission a first ever cooking oil plant in Mambwe District of Eastern Province.

Eastern Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo tells Money FM News via telephone that MISSOIL Processing plant, which is based in Mfuwe, is the first ever cooking oil plant in the province.

Mr. Kasolo says government is pleased that the company is making headways towards expanding this business to the whole province and as opposed to only serving Mambwe residents.

He is confident that this brand can be made a national one so that Zambians can benefit from this cooking oil made from sun flower.

He is further encouraging the company to work hard and ensure that it starts to export the commodity to neighboring countries like Malawi, Mozambique, Angola and other countries.
