Zambia records 1,161 new Covid-19 cases with 24 deaths

• 24 deaths with 4 classified as Covid-19 deaths.

• 718, 848 tests conducted so far.

Zambia has in the last 24 hours recorded 1,161 New Covid-19 cases with 24 deaths.
According to the Ministry of Health latest Covid-19 update, the cases are out of 11,883 tests conducted in the last 12 hours bringing the total number of tests conducted so far to 718, 848.
And the Ministry said of the 24 deaths 4 have been classified as Covid-19 deaths while 3 have been classified as covid-19 associated deaths.
It added that 17 other deaths are waiting to be classified.
The Ministry added that this brings the cumulative number of deaths to 495 with 170 confirmed as Covid-19 deaths, while 308 have been classified as Covid-19 associated deaths.
It further said 234 people are currently hospitalized while 7,954 are under community management bringing the total number of active cases to 8,188.
