The Zambia Youths in the fight Against Corruption has called on the Smart Zambia Institute to consider rolling out electronic governance system to all public institutions.
ZYAFAC Executive Director Maurice Malambo has told Money FM News that it is encouraging that the government has been able to save about K72 million as a result of the introduction of e-pay slips.
Mr. Malambo also says the introduction of e-voucher system under the Farmer Input Support Programme has also helped the government in getting rid of ghost farmers thereby saving huge summons of money.
Mr. Malambo said the government has been able to channel the saved funds to equally important sectors such as social and health sectors.
He said cabinet has equally gone digital saying this has further helped the state in saving funds through fuel and printing costs.
Mr. Malambo said it is prudent that all public institutions embrace e-governance system as a way of improving service provision as well as transparency and accountability.
Smart Zambia Institute said Government has being able to save about K72 million that was spent on printing pay slips for public workers following the introduction of electronic governance system.
