Abolishment of Zambia, Angola Visa to improve trade – Cross border traders

The Cross Boarder Traders Association of Zambia CBTZ has noted the need for Zambia and Angola to improve the infrastructure between the two countries for trade to flow smoothly.

The association’s observation comes following the signing of an agreement to abolish Visa requirement for citizens of the two countries to cross borders without visa.
CBTZ Executive Director Jacob Makambwe says the move will improve trade between the two countries.

Mr. Makambwe notes that this will also be achieved and effective if the infrastructure such as the road network is improved.

The Visa abolition agreement which Zambia and Angola signed for diplomatic, official and ordinary passports holders will this Thursday come into effect to see citizens of the two countries cross borders without visa requirements.

Zambia and Angola agreed on May 2, 2018 to waive Visa requirements for their citizens traveling between the two countries.
